The Libertarian Party of Clarion County (LPCC) is pleased to announce that it has reached the membership and organizational goals necessary to merit a seat on the Executive Board of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania. The LPCC will now be able to convey the concerns of its members directly to the state level.

Clarion County joins seven other counties in Pennsylvania that have achieved this level of organization, including Allegheny County in western Pennsylvania. Clarion County will present the views of rural western Pennsylvania on the Executive Board. The Board representative is LPCC Chair Berlie R. Etzel, Jr.

This is an important step not only for the Libertarian Party, but for all voters who would like to see choices on the ballot in the general elections. We encourage any citizen who is frustrated with the “two party” system to join in the growing movement to promote responsible government in Pennsylvania.

Anyone who is discouraged by a state government that adopts expanding budgets beyond cost of living adjustments despite a declining population, adopts government pay raises with no public input, and presides over ever increasing authority of the state should take heart. There is a choice. The Libertarian Party is not only the third largest party in Pennsylvania, but is the only other party with organizations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

We encourage anyone who believes there is a better alternative to take action. Make your displeasure with the current system known by registering and voting Libertarian. The Libertarian Party of Clarion County stands in support of individual rights including life, liberty and property. For further information, please contact LPCC Chair Berlie R. Etzel at (814) 797-2855 or Vice-Chair Michael J. Robertson at (814) 358-2882.
