New Climbing Wall to open -- we'll visit an older one in HK

We'll be missing the opening of the REI store on South Side Works. Harbor City in Hong Kong has a climbing wall too. Grant is giving it a whirl in this photo. Bike Pittsburgh was looking for some volunteers for bike parking duties on the opening days. Wonder if the union on strike will make a fuss with them as 'scabs?'

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! (REI DONATES TO BIKE PGH)

Bike PGH needs lots of Volunteers to help us valet park bikes for the
REI Grand Opening from October 7th through 9th (Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday). REI will donate $10 to Bike PGH for every bike which we
park, and we need to staff this event for three days. REI is opening up in the South Side Works at the end of South 27th Street - just off of East Carson.

No special skills are necessary; we'll have everything you'll need.
We just need you to bring a willingness to work for 3-4 hours on one (or several) of these days. If you've been looking for an easy way to get involved, this is it! Your work will help us to raise thousands of dollars!

For more information, or to sign up, email David Hoffman (david -at- bike-pgh.org). We look forward to seeing you!

After dealing with these people from free ride (a group owned by bike pgh) I and not too kind in my opion about bike pgh. Remember I am the one not wellcomed at free ride because I hold conservative point of views, mind you I never opened my mouth about polotics when I went there.

After the way I been treated by these people I will continue to speak out against bike pgh and free ride.

Right. Good posting and reminder. I don't know what the links are from Free Ride to Bike Pgh. I do agree that Critical Mass is meant to be a roving toothache of sorts to draw attention to themselves.

I've never done a critical mass nor have I used Free Ride. But, they are way to the left.

Mark Rauterkus, they are so far left that they make Al Sharptin look like a neo-con.
