Squirrel Hill movie theater closes

Squirrel Hill movie theater closes: "After more than seven decades, the Squirrel Hill Theatre on Forward Avenue has closed. The decision will have no effect, owners say, on the nearby Manor Theater which will continue to operate.

'It is with deep regret that I am faced with the decision to close the Squirrel Hill Theatre,' owner Richard Stern said in a statement today. 'It is no longer an economically viable operation and we can no longer sustain the losses which we have experienced over the past two years.'"
Perhaps the movie theater can be sold to the Gov Workers Pension Fund and managed by Citiparks Films in the Park crew so that retired firefigters can benefit.

Nevermind.

Wait....

Perhaps the Sci-Tech High School Musical can be held in the now closed cinema because the auditorium that was a part of Frick Middle School, now home to a renovated PPS Sci Tech had its auditorium converted to a child care center.

Nevermind.
