The Black Political Empowerment Project(B-PEP) Supports the August Wilson Center

Dear Friends of AWC:

There are a few things that you can do to help assure the recovery of the AWC, back to the community:

A.      Attend the "Artists For The New AWC" event tomorrow, on the sidewalk, in front of the AWC, 980 Liberty Ave (see below).

B.      Be sure to get the petition signed this weekend and return it to me, via email, or snail mail, or "By Whatever Means Necessary." We're going to hand deliver the petitions to the judge on the morning of the trial re the URA covenants.

C.      Attend the trial on September 29, which starts at 9:30 AM. So get there at 9:00 AM, on the 17 floor of the Frick Bldg. (Forbes and Grant).

D.      Send letters to Judge O'Toole, Mayor Peduto, County Executive Fitzgerald, Rep. Jake Wheatley, Rep. Ed Gainey, Councilman Daniel Lavelle, Rep. Bill Robinson (and any public official in Western Pennsylvania). Tell them we want the WHOLE AWC returned back to the community; not turned into a hotel. Also, contact your pastors, and ask them where they stand on the issue!

We are in the final stretch. If you were ever going to do anything to help save the AWC, we need it NOW!!!
