Hi Mark...

We are excited to launch after-school and weekend Youth Programs at TechShop Pittsburgh! Offered as part of our STEAM curriculum, our youth sessions and clubs are open to students ages 8 to 16 with varying levels of experience as makers. Learn more and sign up now for one of these exciting programs!

Our youth programs guide students through the engineering design process using laser cutters and 3D printers. Students will learn the process of identifying a problem, brainstorming, prototyping and iterative design before refining their CAD (computer aided design) skills in Autodesk and Adobe software. All students will leave with a project of their own design, aimed at solving a problem in their everyday life. Previous examples include building alarm clocks, designing and laser cutting lamps, and modeling then 3D printing chess sets.

Up2Us Sports, with the generous support of several partners, will be launching Operation Coach - our veteran coaching program - in Philadelphia in early 2016. On Monday it was announced that ESPN committed $100,000 to the program, half of which will support the placement of veteran coaches in Los Angeles and the other half to support veteran coaches in Philadelphia. Josh Harris, Co-Managing Owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and affiliate of The Josh and Marjorie Harris Family Foundation, has also pledged an additional $50,000 in support for veteran coaches. Furthermore, the Philadelphia 76ers, with support from Toyota, have pledged $25,000 to place one veteran coach to support 76ers local initiatives, bringing the total number of veteran coaching opportunities in Philadelphia to six.

The Josh and Marjorie Harris Family Foundation has been crucial to funding programs in Philadelphia that support youth in some of the city's highest-crime and lowest-income neighborhoods. In August of this year, they announced a $3.5 million grant to the Philadelphia Police Athletic League (PAL). The Philadelphia PAL, a multi-year member organization of Up2Us Sports, will serve as a host site for the newly hired veteran coaches.

Additionally, Drexel University Online will be providing support for Operation Coach and veterans in Philadelphia. Through their Yellow Ribbon program, Drexel Online will offer free tuition support for any veteran coaches serving in Operation Coach.

Debate recap

Another FB post had this gem:
Marco Rubio puts forth that Vladimir Putin is just an organized crime thug who is controlling a 6 trillion dollar economy which is a disaster, but is putting a trillion dollars into his military which will surely bankrupt Russia; 15 minutes after he complained that the US economy is a disaster and by the way, we need to increase military spending by a trillion dollars.

Ba-Dow!
... and the hits just keep on a'comin'...

My point about the hawk, Marco Rubio, is that he should not be POTUS (President of the United States).

Marko Rubio for Union Boss of the Zen of Aimless Welding. As a back-up, he can be CEO of Candy Crush.

Oh well
