On October 18th I will join impassioned teachers, parents, alumni, students, educational leaders and community members to raise the bar and walk 13 miles through our great city for The Pittsburgh Promise and Pittsburgh's kids! I will walk to put out a call to our community. Because many of our children are suffering serious educational inequality, together we must link elbows around all of our kids to ensure that their lives, which are full of promise, receive the needed nurture from all of us who are charged with their care. I will also walk for an exciting challenge! Oxford Development has issued a $10,000 Matching Grant challenge to the walk. If we can raise $10,000 by October 18th, we will unlock this incredibly generous gift. I know we can do it! You can join us by walking, attending our cookout and party at the finish line, or giving to help us reach our $10,000 challenge. Your support will add your impassioned voice to this call and will strengthen our mission.
Saleem tied his laces up for a recent training walk. Watch and hear more about the event.
