Fwd: My new book was just published this week

---------- Forwarded message ---------
From: Jerry Bowyer <jerrybowyer@comcast.net>

What did Jesus really say about social justice?

WHAT DID JESUS SAY ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE?

My book, The Maker Versus the Takers: What Jesus Really Said About Social Justice and Economics went on sale this week in bookstore and on Amazon. It is published by Post Hill Press.

What we find is a Jesus whose denunciations were not aimed at the wealthy in general, but rather at the members of the ruling class and their cronies who were extractors of wealth from society, rather than producers of wealth. This book definitely demolishes the myth of a proto-socialist revolutionary Jesus, in favor of the picture of a Jesus who was a small business entrepreneur denouncing economic exploitation by the powerful and the connected.

Along the way, it also demolishes the allegation, which has existed for far too long, that the Gospels promote anti-Semitism.

Participate PA is building the capacity of organizations across the state that don't normally do the work, but have natural opportunities to connect with voters and infrequent/non-voting residents. Learn what every organization should be doing this year to effectively increase voter participation – especially among our hardest-to-reach residents.

The 2020 Presidential Election & the COVID-19 pandemics make this the most challenging Election Year in generations. Pennsylvania's nonprofit & community-based organizations must play a critical role as we prepare for the 11.03.20 Election. Participate PA provides organizations with best-practice information, resources, and partnerships to make a real difference in mobilizing people to vote safely in the 2020 General Election.
