Flashback: Joe Jencks played a prior House Concert for us in Pittsburgh

A slide show of the first Joe Jencks house concert:

That gig was our 'first ever sold out performance.' We held it on the first floor and had just enough people to squeeze into the room. RSVPs are necessary so we can save you a seat.

Next week's house concert is going to be on the third floor, under our new roof. The room has a stage and we're very excited to have you attend. This will be our first concert in the 'newly re-done third floor space.'

We won't have any petitions for you to sign this year. I'm already on the ballot for the November 2008 election. I'm a candidate for the "electorial college."

For fun, I've put the event into a ticket system on the internet. No need to sign-up via that system. But, if you wish, you can check out Show Clix dot com. Direct Link.

Is it 8-8-08?

Perhaps this will help drive down the price of tickets. If they could only put more of the Olympics onto YouTube before they occur, we'd be able to get more tickets.

Olympic ticket sale in Beijing starts stampede

Thousands of eager fans who had waited for up to two days swarmed sales windows Friday for the final batch of tickets to next month's Olympic Games, knocking people to the ground and bending metal barricades in the chaotic crush.

Have you gone to jail for justice? You'll be a friend of mine.

Last Sunday, I attended a church service on the North Side at the Allegheny U.U. Church. The star performer was Pittsburgh's Anne Feeney. She is one of the most dangerous musicians around.

Here is a snip of her song, that fits well with today's Pittsburgh City Paper article about my struggle with the Ethics Hearing Board.
Rotten Laws, until people like us deny it.

Hillary -- hands off -- until November 2007

I don't need help picking my campaign theme song. But, my only wish is that she not use the song(s) that I have picked -- until after the November 6, 2007, general election. But, that would be okay if she did pick the same song, musician and singers. What the hell, thse folks I choose are my friends and I'd love for them to strike it big again.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is seeking advice on "one of the most important issues" of her presidential campaign: picking a campaign theme song.

So far, more than 100,000 Americans have responded to her lighthearted call for help. Some have been inspired to compose original tunes. It's not exactly "American Idol," but the reaction is another example of the Internet's growing role in politics.
You'll need to get a copy of my latest CD, or dozens of them, to hear the tunes yourself. They are not out yet -- but wait a few more weeks.

Don't Put Me In a Box -- from the recent campaign concert with Johnsmith at HQ on the South Side

You can hear a song by Johnsmith, as performed at our campaign concert recent Rally for Rauterkus at our brand-new venue at our South Side H.Q. We had more than 50 people attend the festivities on Feb. 2, and a good, meaningful time was had by all.

Johnsmith sang, among other things, "Kicking The Stone" -- over the 10th Street Bridge, up 12th Street and all the way to the Super Bowl.
