Fwd: ISHOF Launches One in a Thousand Campaign

----- Forwarded message -----

International Swimming Hall of Fame Launches One in a Thousand Campaign

The International Swimming Hall of Fame, a non-profit dedicated to serving the worldwide aquatics community, launches its One in a Thousand campaign to seek the support of 1,000 special members of the aquatics community who can help keep the organization moving forward toward a new vision and museum.

In these unprecedented times, ISHOF is looking for 1,000 special people in the worldwide aquatics community to step up and help us keep our visionary plans for the future and get us through these difficult times.

"Our Goal is simple. If we get 1,000 people to simply commit $10, $25 or $50 per month, we will generate enough revenue to go beyond this Covid-19 Pandemic Crisis." - Bill Kent - Chairman of the ISHOF Board

"Those that believe in our vision, mission, and goals can join us in taking ISHOF into the future and be a part of aquatics history."  - Brent Rutemiller - CEO and President of ISHOF

Since 1965, ISHOF has been the global focal point for recording and sharing the history of aquatics, promoting swimming as an essential life-skill, and developing educational programs and events related to water sports. ISHOF's vision for the future is to build a new museum and expand its reach by offering its museum artifacts digitally through a redesigned website.

The ISHOF Board is calling on all members of the aquatics community to make a small monthly commitment to show their dedication to aquatics and how special the International Swimming Hall of Fame is to our entire worldwide aquatics family.

Join the One in a Thousand Club by helping ISHOF on a monthly or one-time basis.

Fwd: Greg Greenway Live Streaming Event Schedule

----- Forwarded message ---
From: Greg Greenway

Greg Greenway Live Streaming Schedule
 on the web:
My very first streaming concert was a huge learning experience. I've
stepped up my efforts to get the sound and the connection with the
listeners as real as possible. I had such a tremendous response from
folks all over North America and from every stage of my career, that
I've decided to follow up with a concert I'm calling Songs from the
Beginning
. These are songs from the origins of my musical journey,
songs sung at the Nameless Coffeehouse and Passim in Harvard Square,
Cambridge, at Brandeis University, at Brevard College, and in my friends'
living rooms. Amazingly enough, people wanted to hear the old songs.

So, on Thursday April 30, 2020 from 7:30 - 9pm EDT I'm going to honor
this connection. The link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81294747630
Again, I'll be able to get questions and requests through the chat function,
but I've already got an entire set list's worth of requests - some songs I
had totally forgotten. But the people haven't. You can respond to this
email and I'll get it. You can also go to my FaceBook page and see the
ongoing conversation (https://www.facebook.com/greg.greenway.18).

You do not need to download Zoom for this. It should all happen just by
clicking on the link. If you're worried, I have a PDF for you that shows what
you'll encounter.

If you recognize Winds of Change, Let It Roll, Summer Song, Johannesburg,
Massachusetts, Free at Last, and Falling
, we'll have a trip down memory
lane together. If you've never heard them, here's your chance. So many
people remember them... and that fills my folksinger heart.

Hope to be with you on every other Thursday evening for the foreseeable
future. Everything is up in the air, so we'll see if I can hold to that schedule.
I want every time we can be together to be special. So I'll work very hard
to make that happen.

Highly recommended movie on the environment, as per John H

I have not yet watch this movie, but it is on my list due to John H's suggestion.

Michael Moore has produced a new movie, Planet of Humans, about the environmental movement now streamed on YouTube.  One in which he (thankfully) does not appear.  It is exceptional – well worth the hour and forty minutes it runs and do watch all of the credits as they contain additional information.

I apologize if you are receiving this for the second (or even third) time as I received it from two different sources.
