We are especially grateful for the many ways that nurses worldwide are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, including those who are part of the Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training and Testing program. Thank You! Now Available – CPRO and Lifeguarding Virtual Skills Training Interim virtual skills training is now available for both Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers courses. This allows students and Instructors to conduct activities, guided discussions and CPR/AED and First Aid skills practice and evaluation via web conference. CPRO: After a successful virtual training skills test, a 2-year Red Cross certification will be issued. Lifeguarding: Before a 2-year certification can be issued, in-person water skills testing must be conducted in compliance with guidance from state and local authorities. Guidance sheets for Lifeguarding and CPRO have been posted to the Red Cross Learning Center. See Guidance Take Care of Yourself With Our New Course The new Red Cross course "Psychological First Aid: Supporting Yourself and Others During COVID-19" helps those impacted by COVID-19 to build resilience and lend support to others during and after this time. The course can be taken online in less than one hour and is free through May 31. Take advantage of this free course – and share it with others using the Request Blended Learning functionality on the Red Cross Learning Center.
