 | Three days of fast racing down in Indianapolis and six to go! It is thrilling to watch the racing in a football stadium. The atmosphere that USA Swimming has created with the fans coming from throughout the United States is fantastic. Memories that will last forever are being established here for competitors and fans alike!
218 of the 950 competitors at the United States Olympic Trials had participated in Fitter & Faster swim camps as they were developing their swimming careers! Our staff is watching the races with a special heat sheet that has all of the past participants' names marked off. As a team, we are really enjoying watching everyone compete. Many are making it to semifinals and finals! There was even one past participant who attended many camps early in her swimming career - particularly during covid - who made the Olympic team in the 800 freestyle relay last night! So far two past participants and two clinicians have made the Olympic team so far! The athletes competing at these Olympic Trials mostly participated in our swim camps between 2012 and 2016 when we were producing far fewer swim camps throughout the United States. We expect in 2032 more than 50% of competitors will have made Fitter & Faster part of their swimming journey.
It is clear that the best swimmers are the most inquisitive! They get great coaching at home and come to Fitter & Faster to supplement their knowledge. We are so proud to have played a small role in the journey for so many swimmers throughout the United States, Canada and other parts of the world!
