Two Libertarians led the ticket for Houston Borough council but the Libertarian candidate for mayor went down to defeat.
Here are the borough council results: Paula Meddings, Libertarian, 119 votes; Chad M. Roberts, Libertarian, 118; Donald L. Gasmire, Democrat-Republican, 108. James Stubenbordt, who was also a mayoral candidate on the Democratic ticket, finished fourth with 97 council votes.
Democrat David Schmalz had 91 votes and Libertarian Seth D. Fosmire finished last with 57 votes.
Stubenbordt, with 125 votes, defeated Libertarian Demo Agoris, who garnered 53 votes.
