Hello Tucker Center Community,
July was an absolute whirlwind of connection, research, and global impact!
I had the privilege of traveling internationally to speak, network, and learn at both IWG (International Working Group on Women & Sport) and WiSEAN (Women in Sport and Exercise Academic Network). A major highlight was launching the Global Coaching Systems Exchange alongside my esteemed colleagues Prof. Leanne Norman and Vicky Huyton. It was energizing to connect with change-makers from around the globe who share our passion for transforming the ecosystem for girls and women in sport.
Back home, we officially wrapped up another incredible Gender Equity Summer Internship under the outstanding leadership of Borton Fellow Johanna Glaaser. We are so proud of this year's interns and can't wait to see where their journeys take them next!
The Coaching HER® team was hard at work to launch a NEW Course: On August 3, the Caring Climate developed by renowned experts Drs. Candace Hogue, Mary Fry, and Lori Gano-Overway, will drop. Our evidence-based course gives coaches actionable tools to build psychologically safe, supportive environments where girls thrive.
As we gear up for the Fall semester, I’ll be hitting the road again soon! Catch me in August at two USTA Coaching events—if you’re attending, please say hello! Dive in below to check out recent team sightings, alumni achievements, merch, and upcoming events.

The challenge was never a lack of women coaches. It's the systems around them.
At the IWG Global Summit 2026, Dr. Nicole M. LaVoi joined Professor Leanne Norman (R, Loughborough University) and Female Coaching Network Founder Vicky Huyton (C) for A Global Conversation on Women in Coaching, bringing together research, real-world application, and voices from the global coaching community.
The result: the launch of the Global Coaching Systems Exchange, a new international network connecting researchers, coach developers, and sport leaders to share what's working and build coaching systems where women don't just enter the profession, but lead and stay in it.
