At the mayoral public safety forum, also hosted by LWV, I asked and was told AOK. At this forum, a different figure was in charge and there were more restrictions: not only was I asked to get the candidates' consent, I was asked to swear up and down to post the full debate without any edits.
"Next time, don't ask, just do it." I'll have to consider that.
