Fwd: Our great friend and Ally
There are some questions which never seem to be raised in this nation, but the biggest has to do with our great 'friend' and 'ally' Israel. Perhaps the time has come to change that before it is too late – if it isn't already.

Fwd: Endless war and more
From: John H
The two attachments document the futility of wars initiated by the United States for the past 15 or so years as well as the prospect for ever more, even more destructive wars to come. In the second article Mike Whitney makes some assertions which many will have qualms about. First of all, he fails to mention that the Korean 'Police Action' was initiated by an attack on South Korea by the North, which was joined by China when it appeared that the North was about to lose. Second, he doesn't mention that North Korea is without question a despicable dictatorship, like other despicable dictatorships we claim to be overthrowing in the name of 'spreading democracy', even though no democracy seems to be forthcoming anywhere we have injected our military 'assistance'. Virtually everything else in Whitney's article is accurate and unreported in the main stream media of the United States. In this sense, North Korea has every reason to be terrified of the United States based on their experiences in the past. So don't discount their desire for nuclear weapons as necessarily an aggressive move toward their neighbors. There is a reason why the United States is viewed by most of the rest of the world as the primary threat to peace. Even today U.S. Representative Adam Kinsinger, a Republican member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, acknowledged in an interview with CNN that the Russian military was simply no match for the American military. This confirms Vladimir Putin's assertion that, in the event of a conflict with the United States, Russia would have no alternative but to resort to nuclear weapons. Yet many U.S. politicians in both political parties and many high-ranking military personnel are determined to push the U.S. into just this sort of a conflict with both Russia and China. This is, in my opinion, both a stupid and potentially catastrophic policy, similar to those which led to World War I in Europe. Somehow the American people must wake up and realize our so-called allies in the Middle East are determined take us into arenas where any sensible person should be terrified to go. Our desperate determination to rule the world will not produce any benefits for anyone other than war contractors and even those will be short-term and temporary.

Fwd: Danny Chew
---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Carol Perezluha
Hello!
My brother Danny Chew was in a tragic cycling accident on Sept. 4 last year. He has been staying with friends in Ohio, and now, we want to modify our Pittsburgh home where Danny has lived his whole life, and wants to go home to live with our 84 year old mother so they can take care of each other. Our family thanks you for supporting Danny throughout this very sad time. Desmone Architects have designed a pro bono addition to our house which is wheelchair accessible. We have set up a 100% tax deductible page for donations for Danny on HelpHopeLive. A very generous cycling friend, Gene Nacey of Cycling Fusion, has offered to donate $60,000 for Danny if the cycling world can first come up with $60,000. I am reaching out to all of Danny's cycling friends for help.
The link www.helphopelive.org will get you to the site where you can type in Danny Chew to get to Danny's page.
From the bottom of our hearts, the Chew family(Danny, our brother Tom, and me, sister Carol Chew Perezluha) thank you for helping Danny!

Re: South Side Social Update
Good morning!
It has been one week since 160 neighbors celebrated spring and the South Side community at the Spring Social. Steel Cactus donated its 2nd floor as well as very tasty food. Keys to the City provided music and Johno Prascak, Cindy Esser's Floral Shop, Philip Pelusi Salons and AMPD Group donated auction items.
Due to the commitment of the sponsors and guests, the evening raised $1,000 for Ormsby Park and $1,000 for South Side Park. The kind sponsors include: John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc., Bruce Kraus, Copies on Carson, Jim Andrew, Dr. Bryan Boak, Charlene & Joe Colia, German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue PA, Inc,. Anna Marie Kijanka, New York Life Insurance Company, Betty & Bob Kripp, Tracy and Ken Kucera, Local,
Michele & Peter Margittai, Lois & Rick McClain, Metropolitan Cleaners, Rebecca Kichta Miller, Genealogist, Amy & Mike Mosallem, Mary & Nate Myles, Linda & Bob Nelson, Paul Pieffer, Perlora, Roberta Weissburg Leathers, Steel Cactus, South Side Community Council, The Homyak Law Firm, Twelve, Kitty Vagley & Jeff Neubauer and Frank Vitale.
Thank you to all who supported this gathering. We are delighted that so many met lots of previously unknown neighbors! The next community-building event is scheduled for Saturday, September 16th. I think that's a reasonable rule of thumb, don't you?
Who can possibly think any good can come from further foreign intervention?
"Sure, the last 500 times were counterproductive and flushed trillions down the drain, but this time...."
It's horrifying.
The news media, which could barely stand the sight of him before, is now saluting President Trump.
In their determination to be wrong on every last thing in the world, the leftists at MSNBC cheered the strike as well.
I dropped my original plans for today and invited Scott Horton to join me to get to the bottom of what just happened in Syria. I urge you to listen:
Now, a reminder:
On Monday we're celebrating the five-year anniversary of Liberty Classroom (my dashboard, on-the-go university for libertarians, where you can learn the history and economics they kept from you) with a deal on the Master, lifetime membership that I won't be repeating for at least another five years.
The price will be slashed by $200 -- and on top of that, as an offer-sweetener I'll include signed, personalized copies of FOUR of my books: The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History, Who Killed the Constitution?, Real Dissent, and 33 Questions About American History You're Not Supposed to Ask.
Put it on your calendar -- Monday! -- or watch this space.
And yes, that day you're going to get a lot of emails from me.
Either delete them, jump off the list, or open them for lovingly crafted infotainment goodness.

Art All Night's call to volunteers and artists
CALL FOR ARTISTS AND VOLUNTEERS
The 20th annual Art All Night will be held April 29th - April 30th, 2017. This year we have a new location, 85 36th Street in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA. The show will be open to the public from 4 p.m. Saturday all night long until 2 p.m. Sunday. View art, hear music, create art, meet friends, enjoy beverages and make memories "All Night" long!
We invite you to submit one (and only one) piece of artwork during this one-of-a-kind neighborhood event attended by over 15,000 people each year. Artist registration instructions are available at www.artallnight.org where you can use the online registration system anytime. We HIGHLY recommend registering online as registration lines at the event can get long. Artists submitting art pieces must show a photo ID during both registration and pick up.
All artwork must arrive READY TO HANG or be displayed. Wall mounted pieces must be ready to hang from a nail(s). A limited number of clips will be available for unframed artwork. Registration is Saturday April 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m sharp. We do not accept any artwork after 2 p.m. Pick up is Sunday April 30th, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Volunteers - We need everyone to help with this wonderful event by volunteering. Shifts are as short as 2 hours and we need YOU. Your help is the only way the show goes on and the only way it continues. Please help us put on one of Pittsburgh's great events. Check out the volunteer section of the website www.artallnight.org.
Build out is Saturday April 8th, 15th and 22nd from 10am to 2pm at the warehouse, 85 36th Street in Lawrenceville. Please bring a ladder and screw gun and help assemble panels.
Video artists - Have you produced a short film, video or animation? Would you like to show off your work at Art All Night this year? The 2017 Video Lounge will feature a revolving playlist of short films by creative artists from around the area. If you have worked on a video or film production, we are looking for a sample of you work. Not your demo reel or product ad; but an example of an actual original production. Whether animated characters or live actors, sound or silent, comedy or drama, documentary or completely abstract, film or video; as long as you can deliver it to us in a digital format, we can add it to our revolving playlist.
Submissions will be included in a playlist running in a continuous loop at the site cinema. Sign up below and deliver your entry in a digital format to Art All Night via mail, appointment or download. The last day for video submissions will be Monday, April 24th.
Mosaic artists - We will again be creating mosaic and glass pieces on-site that will be auctioned off to help support the show. Check out the website for more details.
