Volunteer at WYEP -- or roar with a campaign
You can get a no pay job at WYEP on the South Side -- or -- if you care about your political life, I would suggest you volunteer for a campaign. Mike Isaac has a political office to manage on East Carson Street, within the Terminal Bldg and the Pgh Courier. With the campaign, you'd do much more and be the boss -- not just a receptionist.

Well congratulations. Mike Issacs just lost my vote. I really have no idea what he stands for, but if supporters of his create posts like this, I don't want to know. What does an independent public radio station have to do with a political campaign? (Yes the real way to spell campaign is c-a-m-p-a-i-g-n). I happen to support WYEP and am very offended that you would attack the station for no good reason. I bet your next post will be "Don't waste your time reading to the blind...they can't see you to appreciate it anyway, work for Mike Issacs"
Thanks for pointing out the typo.
Some folks like to volunteer here -- others there. It takes all kinds to make the world go around. This posting was to get out volunteers -- of all kinds -- at all sorts of venues / opportunities.
It doesn't attack WYEP in the slightest, it promotes them. I'm glad you support WYEP, keep it up.
I went to a WYEP event about a year ago, Lynn Swann was there, and a great crew of volunteers helped. I was really impressed with them and even, months and months later, offered one of them a job. He was "retired" but not so old. And, he had moved out of state by then, sadly, for WYEP, for me, for us all.
Some folks like to do health work, some music work, some political work. I'm just pointing out the various flavors. Some like to take orders and lend a hand. Others like to lead and get more responsibility at the outset.
part 2:
The "ROAR" part of the post above was topical as "Pittsburgh ROARS" -- with those blow up creatures. And, good luck to your on-going comedy and improv.
Other volunteer opportunities are always welcomed on this blog.
