Put the new slots parlor within the soon to be empty airport

We built US Airways a new airport. Now the flights are fleeing. Can we put the slots parlor in terminals A, B and C? We'll use Terminal D for airplane boarding.

This is a bit of a joke, of course. But, I wasn't joking years ago when railing against the corporate welfare deals. And, I still think we should be putting the new slots parlor within the Convention Center -- another white elephant.

I don't think there will be an empty airport anytime soon.

US Airways are a bunch of liars though.

Southwest Airlines is a company that is doing very well here. So are some other companies according to what Dan Onorato said on KDKA this morning.

We don't need them and should never ever give in to their demands again.

Matt, we should have never given into their demands the first time.

We should not give into any types of demands from the corporate jerks.

The airport is empty. Wings are closed. It's capacity is not being utilized -- not in the slightest.

Same too with the wasted capacity of the convention center. With the lack of flights, the convention center can't be used as we can't get those people into town to fill it.

Same too with the tunnel under the river.

We are a small town. And, we have BIG DEBTS. We'll not get it right until we stop all corporate welfare.
