For three mayoral candidates in Phila., no B.A.

Philadelphia Inquirer | 02/04/2007 | For three mayoral candidates in Phila., no B.A. is no big deal 'Quite frankly, I can't remember a mayor of a big city who wasn't a college graduate, and I think I would,' said David Bositis, an expert in urban and minority politics at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies in Washington, when asked whether he could. 'It sounds like a question from the 1950s.'
Bob O'Connor didn't have a degree, did he?

Does Darleen Harris, now on city council, have a college degree?

What? When?

Neither did Sophie or Caliguiri. For the mayor to have a college degree is far down on my list of importance. Having vision to grow and improve the region and the ability to implement the vision is much more important to me.

I don't think Darleen Harris has a college (4 year) degree (Remember the housewife's special school budget from a few years ago).

That means no one on council has a degree. Shjelds has an associate's while Peduto is a few courses short of his degree. Mayor Luke has a degree.

Peduto competed his degree recently -- Penn State.
