Hey Mark,

I managed to get MediaWiki set up on my account with Ace-Host. Everything seems to be working well. You can check it out at http://forum.for-pgh.org. Check out www.wikipedia.org for an example of how this software can be used.

I've actually been wanting to set up the "PittsburghForum" Wiki for awhile, but I had given up on for technical reasons. Your request for tech-support gave me new motivation to tackle the issues and now it works! Thanks!

Anyway, for the moment, we just need to make sure that it works well. I've fooled around a bit and see no problems. If this is working well on my account, then I can get started on setting up one on your account.

I'm not sure about how the administration works, but I can easily make you an "administrator(sysop)", which will give you complete control over the content... but maybe not the more fundamental settings of the software. I need to study the software more.

Anyway, I think this is good software. As I said, I am most familiar with it and have seen it used in a very impressive manner (for Wikipedia). Otherwise, I couldn't get the default Ace-Host Wikis to work properly, and I'm not familiar with any other flavors of Wiki.

have a good one,
adam
