The Club for Growth 2008 - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
In the 2008 general election, only Ron Paul has a chance to defeat Hillary Clinton. And, I'm not the only one to think this way. All the big money, the Las Vegas book makers, say the same.

You realize of course that Ron Paul wasn't even mentioned in the cited article.
Ron Paul has no chance against Hillary Clinton, but it's an impossibility for him to get that far.
Ron Paul's early Jon Stewart/Bill Maher-fueled "ain't he a cool Repulbican" buzz is over. Dr. Paul remains a third-tier candidate.
He is a good guy and in some ways be a good conservative standard-bearer. But then, so am I.
The Club for Growth plays in a very small sandbox. It does NOT stray far from home. Of course I knew that Pat Toomey would not mention Ron Paul in an article.
We all have our blind spots. Toomey's is too big for my tastes.
Ron Paul has THE BEST CHANCE against Hillary among all the Rs out there now. That isn't my opinion, it is that of those who make predictions, with millions in cash, in Las Vegas.
The pros say Ron Paul brings the best opportunity.
The third tier is over as per the momentum he has, the money he has, the press he has, the hits he has. -- now -- the chances he has against the Dems.
The difference between you and Ron Paul is that he has been out there and vocal for 10 terms in the US Congress. He was won elections when the GOP worked against him. He got to Congress 3 times without being an incumbent. His trust on votes is without question.
Ron Paul won't get through the nomination process.
Romney won the Michigan Straw Poll -- but -- Romney's dad was Governor of Michigan.
Paul was 3rd. He beat Rudy by a few votes.
I stand by my assertion that I have as much chance of winning the White House as Ron Paul.
