NEWSLETTER --- December 2004

1. Year-end comments and thanks.
2. NEW CD - "In The Family"!
3. Some things to look forward to in 2005!

1. First off, I just want to wish everyone on the list Happy Holidays! Here's hoping that you had a good year in 2004 and that 2005 will be just as good or better. This was a busy and amazing year for me, from the release of "Threads of Time" (my first CD recorded with my two brothers), to an incredible tour of the UK with Al Stewart in May, to some great opportunities to serve as songwriter-in-residence in schools all over, it's been an exciting time. I'd just like to express my gratitude to any and all of you who have listened to and supported my music. I'm very lucky to have a family that is so great, and to have the opportunity to work with my favorite singer/songwriter (and friend), Al Stewart.

2. As you may remember from earlier newsletters, I had the opportunity to lead some songwriting workshops with an amazing family, the Silcocks, back in April. Jim Silcock and Ann Belles have 32 adopted sons, each of whom faces some sort of physical or developmental challenge. It was an incredible week, and the boys wrote 13 wonderful songs. Since June, I've been working on a CD of these songs (as well as a few that I wrote for the family), and I'm thrilled to say that it is due out next week! I was lucky enough to enlist the help of some terrific musicians from Davis, CA, where I live. All of the proceeds of this CD will go to First Step, a non-profit organization set up by the family. For more info on the Silcocks and on the CD, please see their website - www.allourboys.com. Oh yeah, the first 200 people to order a CD will get a free poster, with autographs by all the boys!

3. O.K., so what's coming up? Well, a lot of things are in the works, but here are some definite events: On New Years Eve I'll be appearing with Al Stewart at The Point - a great venue in Bryn Mawr, PA (near Philadelphia). This will be a special night of food, wine and music, with a full meal included, and five very rare French Bordeaux wines, as well a genuine French wine expert to explain them (and as some of you know, Al himself is a noted wine expert). It's not a cheap ticket, but it's an intimate event and one that you shouldn't miss if you live in the area! For info see The Point's website - www.AtThePoint.com. Al and I will be at the Fairfield (CA) Performing Arts Center on January 28th, and I'll be doing more school residences throughout the year, as well as returning to work with the Silcock boys in March during their Spring break! I've got a few jobs coming up at Nachville Recording, producing some CD's and writing and recording custom songs for people. Wi!
th a little luck I'll be coming to some of your living rooms and basements to play house concerts, both private and public. And just to make sure I'm kept busy, I'm hoping to record an instrumental CD this year. Have a happy and healthy 2005 and hopefully I'll see you sometime next year!

I'd love to keep in touch with you and hear your thoughts and comments and suggestions and general news.
